We love Tuscany. We love the lyrical landscapes, the world-class art, and the Cucina Contadina. Practically the Tuscan experience is a symbiosis with the land. With our film cameras in hand and a head full of ideas and colors, we set out to create an editorial all about refine details and sophisticated movement in Tuscany, Earth’s way to say that beautiful things do exist. We wanted to capture the sun, the olive groves, the rolling hills, and the cypress trees. Most of all we wanted to preserve the feeling of Tuscany differently. It inspired many painters in the past and sure it inspires us every single time, we wanted to photograph in a way that looked like a painting.
The location was breathtaking. Located in the heart of Tuscany, Locanda is an amazing ancient Tuscan ‘’podere’’ transformed into a boutique destination. When we think of a wedding in Tuscany we think of this place, a couple in love, good food and of course good Tuscan wine! We were lucky to have the best team of vendors, people with a clear vision of the wedding industry and an artistic flair. Our editorial was planned by Lucia from “{Wedding in Maremma”, a wedding planner with years of experience in the business and true talent. She created all the scenes perfectly.
The boudoir
We started our editorial with a delicate boudoir session overflowing with flowers and fragile sensuality. The shades of pink, blush, white created the perfect atmosphere in an innocent yet intimate shoot perfect for a bride to be. Of course, Anthea’s Studio created the perfect floral extravaganza and gave the ultimate touch of sophistication to our shoot. Our favorite part? The milk bath shots in the bathtub! It reminded us of all the good reasons a bridal boudoir session is a perfect treat for every bride!
The wedding
The wedding table setting was an ode to organic chic meets beauty style with overflowing centerpieces, light pink bougainvilleas, wildflowers, and leaves in autumnal shades. The minimal art de la table with the touches of luxury was perfect for the Tuscan landscape. Point of focus? The delicate and extremely sophisticated wedding cake with flowers!
The bride
We loved the wedding gown Giada Ghini created for the shoot. Refined and elegant, with lace and delicate beading perfectly captured the essence of a bride getting married in Tuscany. The photographs with the veil and Locanda in the background sure made our hearts beat in excitement! A vibrant bridal bouquet in a sweet color palette matched perfectly to our overall concept.
The details
For anyone that knows our photography style it is apparent, we are completely obsessed with styling flat lays. This time the stationery by Paper Ocelot was picture perfect! We used dried grass and wishing flowers, Italian pears, and light blue sealing wax to seal the fact that this styled shoot was the ultimate Tuscan dream!
