Three day celebration in a no car cosmopolitan island, anyone? Jess and Andreas destination wedding in Hydra is one you shouldn’t miss!
We could not be happier to have been part of a three day celebration in Hydra Island! This Greek island wedding has been published twice already in Toronto Life and Lee Petra Grebeneau and we could not but dedicate a post on it in our blog. Scroll to read more and see more of this amazing imagery…
A welcome sunset cocktail party over Hydrea Mansion, a beach party the next day at Castello all leading to the big day while keeping guests entertained, tanned and showing them all that Greek cuisine has to offer! Can’t get better than this, right?
Jess and Andreas chose Hydra as their wedding destination not only because of the unique beauty of the island but also due to its no car policy. Everything is within walking distance and everything seems so much more picturesque. Plus, there are the typical Greek Island donkeys; one of them actually, Marigold, was used to transfer Jess to the ceremony site.
The Twelve Events planned and designed a spectacular wedding at Sunset Restaurant ; Jess and Andreas opted for bold colours in their wedding décor and blooming peonies in dark fuchsia, white hydrangeas and salmon pink roses were used to comprise a very romantic scenery. More than twenty chandeliers were used to create this luxurious ambience at Sunset Restaurant where the wedding took place. Dinning by the seaside and enjoying the traditional gourmet Greek cuisine just one of the highlights for this wedding.
Jess walked down the aisle looking radiant in her gown, while the band was playing Can’t Help Falling in Love by Elvis Presley. It was such a romantic moment where time stood still. The couple exchanged vows during sunset and gave their first kiss under a gorgeous canopy where yet another chandelier embellished the frame!
The wedding party lasted until dawn and was one to remember; the heartfelt smiles, the unconditional love of friends and family flying from the US to celebrate with the couple and the unbeatable views of the sea and the sunset made this celebration an unforgettable experience for Jess and Andreas and everyone who joined them during this three day celebration.
