Today, we are thrilled to share that Laila and Jack’s Hydra wedding has been featured on the front page of Style Me Pretty!
When we first read Laila and Jack’s enquiry on our inbox we were pleasantly surprised and a little intrigued to meet them and work on their wedding. Their request was as simple and as refined as their wedding celebrations. They wanted this day to be more of a trip with their closest friends and family and less of a big party. Yet, somehow, their love put into the details all made such a huge difference for their guests. This was one very chic wedding in Hydra with the most laid back and celebratory ambience we have ever seen.
Upon arrival to the island of their heart, Jack and Laila has scheduled a pre wedding photo session. It was a gift to themselves and a way to commemorate the beginning of their new life as a married couple. Hydra during sunset was a bliss, while photographing Jack and Laila opposite the picturesque port in Chora gave us some very candid shots. You could tell just by looking at them that they couldn’t wait for the next day!
Laila was glowing in her ultra- chic white gown while her heartfelt smile finished off her look very effortlessly. An elegant wedding dress with a chic open back was a perfect fit to the cosmopolitan atmosphere of the island. Laila’s mum and best friends were in the hotel suite to help her get ready and sip a drink or two. We couldn’t help but notice the cute little notebook she had written her vows for the ceremony. We found a similar one in Jack’s suite, both notebooks wrapped with a blue velvet ribbons. They definitely were a chic match!
A Hydra wedding wouldn’t be typical unless there is a donkey involved. So, Jack led Menios, the lovely donkey who carried Laila to their ceremony site. The wedding party were following the couple through the port where locals and tourists were cheering for the happy couple. Oh the energy on the island, the vibes from the couple and their friends were unbeatable!
Most of their immediate family and close friends took part in the wedding ceremony each reading a different passage or blessing that brought everyone to tears. It was a very emotional ceremony and everyone was absorbed to the essence of the rituals. We captured these sacred moments where sunset light was the best complement to the evening and the incredible White Events & Weddings beautifully tied-in the literary theme throughout the entire day. Minutes after becoming Mr and Mrs, Jack and Laila headed off with a lot of cheer and confetti to the wedding dinner. A restaurant by the sea, Omilos, where all that you could listen to where the waves crushing to the shore and the vivid laughter among the guests. Laila was an epic dancer who never stopped moving and the whole wedding party followed her. It truly was what the couple had wished for: a trip with their closest and dearest to celebrate life! Documenting their love and their celebrations was one of the highlights to our wedding crazy summer!
