Today we are very excited to share with you the amazing destination wedding in Milos, of James and Ana that took place last summer. You can see more of their celebrations on Style Me Pretty here.
There sure is something enchanting about Greece and its landscape; we, as wedding photographers, are blessed to travel for our work and discover the very different sceneries this country has to offer.
Milos is a very peculiar case in the Cycladic complex, as the landscape has been formed by the strong winds, the sand and the tides present on the island. Being a Milos wedding photographer was a pleasant surprise as there was so much natural beauty to capture along with the couple’s love story.
This outdoor wedding was styled by Think Happy Events who helped make a dream come true for Ana and James. The couple chose an earthy palette that was a natural complement to the surroundings, following an organic oily grey and transparent white. Exactly at sunset time, Ana and James exchanged their vows and promised eternal love, loyalty and support to each other. The sun kissed the sea and the couple kissed beneath this fairytale floral arch with ocean views and the best sunset colours. Creating truly timeless imagery and documenting love stories brings us to the most breathtaking places, like the villa that hosted this wedding affair.
The outdoors venue was located in an exclusive location, overlooking the sea and made the perfect setting for a dinner under the starry sky. The villa followed the natural architecture of the island and was seamlessly incorporated to the surrounding. The privileged location made this celebration extra special and we were happy to be the wedding photographer on Milos Island documenting the special occasion for Ana and James.
The dinner tables were set up with overflowing garlands made up with olive branches and eucalyptus with some scattered white flowers creating a very elegant and organic ambience. Even the wedding cake followed the olive theme, and was beautifully decorated with a sugar paste olive branch.
Ana and James had the perfect ending to their wedding celebrations with an intimate photography session at the most iconic place on the island: Sarakiniko beach. The white rocks and the sand reflect the light and provide the most welcoming and majestic scenery for the couple’s session. You could easily mistake the scenery for a deserted place somewhere else in the world but, this is Greece and we are honored to have been their wedding photographers in Milos.
Keep scrolling through the gallery and travel to the island of light, white sands and turquoise waters to sneak a peek into this Oceanside wedding. We are looking forward to documenting more love stories like James and Ana’s and being the wedding photographer at Milos Island which has been a unique experience for more couples looking to tie the knot in Greece and create their timeless love story.
