A couple of months back we captured one of the most beautiful and luxurious weddings, full of opulent elements and an imperial vibe running through each detail. The wedding was held on the island of Chios, located in the eastern part of Greece. It’s famous for its beautiful and unique landscape but most of all for its indigenous flora, mastic trees being the most renowned. To anyone who hasn’t tried it, Mastiha has a refreshing flavor that reminds us of pine and cedar and could capture the essence of that wedding perfectly!
Our couple has a beautiful love story of meeting in a cinematic way and never looking back! Fast forward a couple of years and saying yes to the most beautiful pear-shaped diamond ring ever, it was time for a fairytale wedding in the heart of summer. Maria and John wanted an elegant affair with lush details and a million flowers to mark the start of their lives together!
Maria chose an aristocratic wedding dress by Reem Acra with an imperial flair to it that matched the Argentiko Mansion perfectly, a historic house in Chios known for its beautiful French-inspired gardens! He sleek updo and stunning jewelry gave us an empress vibe, appropriate to the overall atmosphere!. John opted for a dashing white tuxedo making him look a film star from the ‘60s.
The ceremony was held in the breathtaking and grand cathedral of Chios, a historic church with amazing marble flooring and intricate wall paintings. Its grandeur was ideal for our couple! The couple arrived in the ultimate 1960’s Hollywood car, a mint Aston Martin. We can’t put the atmosphere and setting in words but let’s try with “iconic”! After the wedding, our couple chose to have a wedding dinner inspired by the overflowing flower gardens and opted for a full-bloomed décor with delphinium and hydrangeas! Just wait to see the wedding table flower decorations! The wedding menu included seafood and personalized cocktails inspired by the bride and groom’s character! What we adored? The gigantic wedding cake with the summer cherries!
Our couple sure was one of a kind, with its romantic style and certain imperial aura! Their first dance was an inspiring waltz sealing their love forever! Hundreds of fairy lights and flowers made the atmosphere dreamy while everyone danced the night away wishing eternal love to a couple that sure knew how to make a lasting impression! We love celebrations like these where the style is impeccable and the feelings are real! We wish Maria and John all the happiness forever!
