In the Middle Ages, the ruins of Basilica Sant’Eustachio defined the architectural exchange between Italy and Sicily, standing beautifully in the mountain valley above Almafi. This magical place is something different that your usual “Yes, I do” venues and the dramatic view tells the story for itself. It’s quiet, yet the wind could whisper stories further back to Middle Ages, one can only imagine how astonishing the Basilica when it was built with all the details and marbles represents power and beauty at the same time. Inspired by the overwhelming beauty of Basilica we worked alongside with Joy Proctor Design to capture the magic of the bohemian side of this beautiful architecture.
Karoline, our model, is wearing Delphine Manivet from Maria Fekih Store Copenhagen, along with Joy Proctor’s gorgeous floral crown giving its dramatic effect to the picture. We loved capturing the incredible red-deep purple toned bouquet against the wall of the ruin, the natural light and beauty of the design mixed into one—keeping its simplicity yet manifest such astonishing vivacity and romanticism. We all know that Manivet Delphine’s bridal & couture are to die for. The V neckline and the dress dropdown with a hint of poet long sleeve giving a beautiful contrast to the picture. When Karoline was wearing this dress, we can’t help but thinking if it feels like flying. Especially, peeking from the trees—you will get a beautiful glimpse of Almafi and Atrani—it feels majestic. Speaking of editorial shoot, we are loving Julia Song Ink to the moon and back. The gold and white with a hint of soft beige colour is the crème de la crème of stationery. The beautiful calligraphy and the gold seal, it was beyond satisfaction for us to capture everything.
Every single aspect in a wedding is important to ensure the detail, beauty of the décor and everything looks like a fairy tale with originalities in each one. Every wedding tells a story and as photographers, we have had the absolute pleasure (and more) to capture every single uniqueness in a wedding, now this speaks for one of the main décor, table décor. Joy Proctor Design is a specialist when it comes to making brides’ dreams come true. Along with the beautiful stationery, she brings us to an exquisite remark of white gold bohemian table décor. White tapered candles, stunning middle and mini centrepieces along with gold coloured brass plates and antiquated cutleries. All in one, it was a beautiful day in Almafi capturing natural beauty, gorgeous décor and timeless creativity.
