This stunning destination wedding in the Athenian Riviera was the epitome of chic affluence and luxury! Fiona and George chose Island, a beautiful and luxurious venue in the Athenian Riviera, to tie the knot in a serene and glamorous ceremony overlooking the picture-perfect landscape. They worked with The 12 Events, to turn their wedding vision into reality, and oh-our-word was it an affair to remember in one of Athens’s top wedding venues. The two wanted to escape their busy city lifestyle for their wedding day and wanted their intimate guest list to get to experience all the joy that the Athenian Riviera can bring.
We had a wonderful afternoon with Fiona as she was getting ready, and we got to capture all the special emotions and moments with her friends and family. The bridal preparation is always an important stage of a wedding day. Fiona bloomed in her stunning wedding dress that hugged her, a perfect choice for an elegant wedding day. We loved allocating the right time (as we always do) to capturing her portraits and showing her wonderful bridal look and selection of jewelry and special heirlooms. Little things like these give each bride a special meaning and capturing all the details is very important for us.
We love grooms that opt for the classic timeless James Bond style for their wedding day attire. It has a certain flair that is impossible to replicate and adds a touch of Old Hollywood. George chose a handsome suit and all eyes were on him as he waited for his bride.
The wedding was a glamorous garden-themed wedding placed near the sea, and we truly believe it was executed so well! There are several great little details like the invites and signature drinks, organic florals lining the ceremony, the stunning dinner setting, and more. The scenery was breathtaking. Every detail was carefully selected to curate a day that complimented the natural beauty of the landscape and capitalized on the beautiful views.
The ceremony was held under a canopy of fresh flowers with all the favorite people of the couple surrounding their new beginning. No matter the times we get to do it, at they have been hundreds so far, we are always feeling a special connection with each couple and we celebrate alongside them when they say “I do”. We love keeping these memories alive for them, allowing them to cherish and savor that special day forever.
After the ceremony, it was time for the greek infused reception and the party. Cake cutting, dancing, and lots of toasting were in order, making everyone feel warm and cozy and enjoying the warm night by the water. Fiona and George looked thrilling and every dance turn, every kiss, and every sweet whispering was infused with the life-giving energy of a wedding. This wedding day was the perfect blend of an intimate, joyous, and wild party and we are so inspired reminiscing about Fiona and George’s wedding day on Island Athens Riviera!
