How to Celebrate Valentine’s Day in Quarantine

Informative

February 10, 2021

Valentine’s day is the world’s most celebrated romantic evening. We don’t believe that love needs a special day to be celebrated, but rather is an ongoing celebration of each other’s personality. However, we’re treating Valentine’s day as a day dedicated to making extra sure we’re focusing on one another and making time in our busy schedules to share some moments of peace and love. We thought to share all the ways we’re staying all loved up this Valentine’s Day!

Plan a cozy night in

We would be going to a romantic restaurant, but quarantine makes this impossible. Instead, we’re planning a romantic dinner at home! We have everything we need to have a romantic, cozy night. We might make this a movie night or home spa night!

We think that’s an amazing way to celebrate Valentine’s day at home. Stock up on all your favorite treats, popcorn, pizza, penny sweets, chocolate you name it! Then sit back and browse Netflix for a good old chick-flick to watch together! Or, instead of movie night, you can light a few candles, and reach for those essential oils to create a soothing atmosphere for you both to enjoy after a long day at work! This always helps us rekindle the flame and enjoy the company of each other.

Plan a romantic dinner for two

Another great way to spend Valentine’s day with your other half is to plan a romantic dinner for two at home. Yiota is an excellent cook, she could win a Michelin! Maybe this year, we’ll be cooking something together with some jazz playing in the background.

Whether you decide to take the time together to choose a recipe and have fun preparing something you can both enjoy or you surprise your significant other with a home-cooked meal –either way, what’s not to love? Why not add a few finishing touches to give your table a lift, add a few candles and accessorise with these gorgeous red heart napkins and table confetti?

Treat your other half to a Valentine’s gift

Do you gift each other presents on Valentine’s day? Exchanging a little something on Valentine’s day is our little thing. If Valentine’s isn’t an occasion you and your other half typically give presents for, then even better surprise them with a spontaneous present or a small token gift and make it a Valentine’s to remember!

Relive your favorite moments

It’s the little things that count. Going back memory lane is something we do often! Take the evening to relive your favorite moments, first date memories, or your favorite things about the other person. Seeing heirloom photographs, special moments we’ve gathered in our years together, old videos and letters is something we enjoy!

Go BIG this Valentine’s and pop the question!

Ok, that’s something we don’t need to do, but why don’t you think about it? Why not make February 14th a night to remember forever and use it as an opportunity to pop the big question?

We hope that we helped you with how to spend Valentine’s Day in Quarantine! It may not look like the previous years, but that doesn’t mean that it can’t be a lovely experience! Take the chance and plan a beautiful night with each other! We know we’ll do!

And if you do pop the question and need an engagement or a wedding photographer, we’ll be happy to do the honors! Contact Us!
