On a warm summer day we had the pleasure to witness Madina and Edouard’s new life adventure. They met sometime eight years ago and have been together ever since. They took their first trip to Athens and the Greek islands so, is was very easy to decide on their wedding destination. A white romance set in Athens Riviera was the perfect fit for this couple whose elegance, love and emotion was overflowing the venue.
Madina is a French from the Caribbean and Edouard is from the South of France hence, seeing their families and friends coming together to celebrate such a significant occasion was full of colors, happiness and warmth. They exchanged vows in a sacred ceremony among their loved one at Saint John Baptist church in the center of Athens. The ambience was captivating; every guests seemed consumed to the ritual and what was happening during the vow exchange. Madina and Edouard looked into each other’s eyes and spoke words of eternal love, trust and support.
It was a beautiful ceremony and our bride was just glowing in her white chic gown. A transparent veil that covered her shoulders and the dress was a perfect addition and a true ode to French chic and craftsmanship. Reception followed at one of the most exclusive venues in Athens nearby the seaside. Island Private House was set up carefully by the lovely ladies, Catherine and Anastasia, from Dream Weddings Europe to accommodate the wedding dinner and party the followed. Lots of candles and lanterns made up a warm atmosphere while the presence of white and pale rose flower compositions was nicely complementing the white romance of the day.
Listening to crushing waves and feeling that summer breeze, overlooking the city lights Madina and Edouard thanked their guests and shared their first dance as Mr and Mrs. When the cake was cut and fireworks were released in the Athenian sky, you could feel the happiness and love surrounding those too.
As photographers, being the eyes of the couple that can’t be in two places at the same time and being responsible to capture the big and little moments of their wedding we get to experience what guests’ experience. Being part of such a life celebration is so important to us and we feel like extended family each time we document a love story.
