This Santorini elopement had it all and more; a balcony with majestic views to the endless Aegean Sea at Canaves Oia, an ode to olive incorporated in the wedding bouquet thanks to Betty Flowers Santorini and of course lots of love and meaningful looks from our couple Maria and Kevin.
As wedding photographers, we cherish and value the relationships we build with our couples. Being part of such an important and intimate celebration is such a great honour for us and we take it upon ourselves to create a trustworthy relationship with them as this will most definitely reflect on the wedding pictures. When we met Maria and Kevin we knew right there and then that building up on that photographer – couple relationship would come naturally.
Maria met Kevin at the right place and the right time as she confessed to us in our initial conversation. So, naturally things got the point where Kevin proposed and they wanted to celebrate something so valuable to the two of them; their unconditional love. And what better way to celebrate your elopement than Santorini, right? They travelled all the way from Rhodes Island, NY to the amazing landscape of Santorini where Santorini Glam Weddings had planned their intimate elopement so perfectly to the final detail; and you know how much we love details! And so did Maria!
Working with brides who appreciate our work and evidently look for those candid and detailed shots of their wedding dress or rings is why we do what we do. Plenty of bright sunlight across the room gave us the chance to produce some amazing bridal portraits while Maria was getting ready, just as she had envisioned for her wedding pictures.
Against the whitewashed buildings of Santorini, our bride walked down the aisle beautiful as ever in a total white look blending in so effortlessly with the scenery. Their private dinner was held in one of the best balconies on the island. Overlooking Oia and with views to the Aegean, this was a dinner for two under the Santorini skies. Being among so many people yet alone on the island’s most prestigious spot is a dream for every bride.
