Vrinda and Pier’s elegant and timeless Hindu wedding was so special to us. From the effortlessly beautiful details (like Vrinda’s heartstopping gold gown) to the glamorous and overstated tablescapes, we loved everything. Additionally, photographing a remarkable Hindu wedding was something different for us and we truly appreciated the traditions and meaning behind everything! Vrinda and Pier’s special day on Hydra Island was even recently featured on the esteemed Vogue Sposa, which was a huge honor for us! Below you’ll read more from the lovely Vanessa, planner of Deplanv, so we’ll let her take it away with this special day…
From planner Deplanv: “A so special wedding theme inspired by the sensory textures and evocative scents from the Greek Land and the secret language of the herbs drawn from the surrounding countryside suffused with Hindu details featuring a sense of minimalist luxury.
The Hindi ceremony took place on a small islet 10 minutes by boat from Hydra island. Beneath an infinite canopy of stars and the lush natural beauty of the surroundings this wedding festivity was a feast of all senses. Colored with the sophisticated palette of olive green, sandstone, soft crème and touches of gold this set up evoked a sense of intimacy captured with candid elegance getting mixed with the breathless sea and sunset view. This ceremony was a unique experience for all the guests who travelled there with traditional boats.
The dessert table was the main decoration concept on the venue entrance. It was antique style synthesis with a magnificent and romantic display enriched with floral and herb compositions calling the guests to indulge into delicate tastes artfully platted. Crystal antique vases are filled with Greek traditional sweets and of course Greek koufeta! The ambience was upgraded with the enchanting hanging antique chandeliers enhanced with candle lit in crystal antique glasses and mirrors hugged by fragrant floral arrangements and lush greenery.
Exuding confidence, this unique art de la table was designed for lovers of delicate details! The elegance is in the juxtaposition of haute design items with raw and rustic textures over timber surfaces hugged by marvellous floral and olive compositions. Mass candle lit in copper hued candlesticks, brass and vintage metallic vases featured unfussy elegance. Fabric hand scripted menus, silver and bronze cutlery for an easy glam, fine dinnerware, crystal sous plats and luxury linen complete the overall theme. The wooden monastery tables -in one long composition- had been the perfect canvas for the floral design and the perfect contrast for all chic details.
The lounge area was transformed into a royal elegant scenery, where the guests could relax enjoying the picturesque sunset. Elegant tables and sofas, plenty of lanterns and crystal vases filled with candles and off white flowers had been placed around creating an alluring scenery for a so elegant, artistic, classy and talented couple who managed to combine more than 4 cultures in the same festivity!”
