There is something so calming and satisfying about capturing an engagement session for us. We genuinely feel lucky to get to create tangible memories for our couples. Film photographs are timeless and will spark the real memory of a very, very special day. Today, we’re thrilled to feature this lovely and simple engagement session in an olive grove.
A SIMPLE ENGAGEMENT SESSION
Set among the most beautiful olive trees, providing a lovely contrast in color to the bride’s pale blue Free People gown, this couple tossed their shoes and just spent the afternoon relaxing. This session was part of the Boheme Workshop, held in Greece last year. Don’t you just love the simplicity of it all? No florals, no props… just two lovebirds, a hammock, and a couple of film photographers capturing the magic of the day. We were especially inspired by the closeup shots of the couple nestled in closely, wrapped up in the hammock. In efforts to take our couples back in time, each time they look at their photos, we love those emotive photographs about the feel, rather than the specific details!
WHY ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS?
Beyond a perfect opportunity to work with us, learn our style, and get comfortable with the whole photography process… engagement sessions are a beautiful way to capture the anticipation before the wedding day. For destination brides, an engagement session or pre-wedding shoot can also be a fantastic idea to capture the beauty of the exotic place you and your love will be married in. As mentioned earlier, simplicity is a statement in its own right so just grab your love and head outdoors for some special photographs.
